I have two persimmon trees that have not budded out yet. They were planted this winter, are not natives, but are a variety that should do well here. I'm just North of Dallas. I've forgotten the name, can you tell? :D

Are there others with this same experience?

If they have no leaves yet, see if you can return them to the nursery where you bought them. My persimmon has had full leaves for about a month and I'm probably in the same zone as you. Do the stems break if you try to bend them?
