:D phase 2 on the Tall Grass Prairie Reconstruction, we are putting in the house so we can be there. Today, the well man is drilling.

Q: where can I get well water checked for bio-s, chemo-s, and other items?

thanks!

I have been searching for the same service with no luck. I called our water co-op and they said they have theirs tested by some company in Dallas. The response I got from that company as well as several other was, "what do you want us to test for?"
There are thousands of chemicals and contaminants that can make water unsafe to drink. The commercial guys have complicated testing programs that rotate what is tested and when. A homeowner trying to duplicate this process will go broke.
I know there is a simple and inexpensive way to accomplish what we are trying to do, I hope someone can help us. My question is simple, can I drink my well water?

This is from the EPA's site for having well water tested in the state of Texas. We used them and as I recall it was not very expensive. - Susan

Here is a link to a good site that recommends water testing. We have not used them yet, but repect the MD that is giving the advice. He is not a conventional doctor by any means.

I tried the site green acres mentioned and they don't work with individuals. The health dept of Ft. Worth is licenced to do water testing and will test your well water for $15.00. They even ship you a kit but you have to get it back to them, on ice, within 30 hours.
