We had a bumper crop of acorns this year. Now I have a small Oak everywhere the acorn could touch soil--yard and flower beds. We've mowed them and will continue to mow them in the yard. I'm digging them out by hand in the flower beds. This is good because it aerates the beds as well. But it's a lot of work!

Anyone have a better way to solve the problem?

I've been doing the same as you, hand pulling them out of the flower bed and the lawn. They do come out fairly easy, and the hole left by that long root should be great aeration :D Sure are a lot this year.
