|
| I have this stuff that is trying to take over my yard each spring. It is not sticker burrs, but what I have always heard referred to as burr clover. I can't really find any information or a picture of the stuff. It dies off about this time each year and we are stuck with thousands of little burrs that stick in the bottom of our flip-flops and are brought indoors. Does anyone know what this stuff is and if the organic cornmeal program will kill this "burr clover"? |

Burr clover is a clover that has flowers which turn into burrs (seed heads).
The "organic cornmeal program" has never been a solution to weeds. The only way we can avoid confusion is to pick at it every time it rears it's ugly head. The reason I capitalize GLUTEN every time I write corn GLUTEN meal is that the distinction in the name is critical for the application to weed control. Ordinary corn meal is a nice fertilizer and fungus control but it is not known as a preemergent herbicide. Corn GLUTEN meal is the preemergent. |
