OK, I believe I read in previous posts that soon after the potatoes bloom they should be ready. Please confirm. I planted mine in March and now they're 3ft tall or so with tons of mulch built high around them. They atarted blooming just the other day. I have never been so unsure about a plant in my life.

When potatoe plants bloom, the potatoes are "new" size. When the plants start dying back from nautral causes (end of life cycle), they are ready for harvest of full size potatoes. Some of the potatoes will be normal size, some of them will still be "new" size, and there will probably be a couple of tiny baby potatoes when you start digging. I usually leave the really small potatoes in the ground, and next season, they willl usually sprout new plants.
