Dear all,
we just planted lots of fruit trees, including peach, plum, and apple. And we need to build a new septic field in the same area. Do you think it is a good idea to place the pipes trench in between the rows of fruit trees? Will the septic water help the trees grow?
I did some research, and found that the main concern about this idea is that the tree's root can block the pipes. However, we can install aluminum flashing on both sides of the trench, and the trench will be 6 ft away from the tree ( the trees are very small now).
Please let me know about your idea. Thank you!

I wouldn't do that, but it's not because I am afraid of what the septic water will do to the trees, but rather what the tree roots would do to the leachfield. Tree roots have a propensity for growing into and around septic lines.
