| What the heck is going on with my Dusty Millers. I planted several throughout my gardens this Spring from purchased 1" nursery pots. They have grown beautifully to 18" x 18" and now some of them are dying stem by stem. I have rich organic, well drained soil. Not all are affected. I sprinkled Sluggo around incase I was having grub damage, but I've never been able to find anything. Is this a case of simple root rot from the heavy rains? |

Hi Old Girl,
Sluggo is not for grubs, but for slugs and snails. The damage from slugs and snails would be holes in the leaves.

It does sound like the heavy rains are causing root rot. You might want to gently dig up one of the plants and take a look at the condition of the root system. They need good drainage.

Good luck,
