Anybody ever have much success with broccoli here? If so, when do you plant? Do you start with seed?

I've planted it in February and it did pretty well, but you should probably cover it with row cover until about mid-March. I've also planted it in Fall. You could probably grow it during Winter in a cold frame, but I've never tried it.

I mostly start broccoli from seed in flats along different set weeks through September then plant them in October onward when they are well estabished. I also do some flats in mid August and some in October so as to extend the harvest season. I don't have as much success with spring planting, still need to work out the proper timing involved.
