| Anybody ever have much success with broccoli here? If so, when do you plant? Do you start with seed? |

| my broccli did real well this past winter (I live in southeast tx). i bought seedlings, but will probably start it from seed this coming year. i planted it sometime in the fall, don't remember the exact month. |

| I've planted it in February and it did pretty well, but you should probably cover it with row cover until about mid-March. I've also planted it in Fall. You could probably grow it during Winter in a cold frame, but I've never tried it. |

| I mostly start broccoli from seed in flats along different set weeks through September then plant them in October onward when they are well estabished. I also do some flats in mid August and some in October so as to extend the harvest season. I don't have as much success with spring planting, still need to work out the proper timing involved. |
