I have fig tree that I planted 2 years ago that seems to have problems. The tree set mamy small figs, but the figs stopped growing when they were about 25% mature. Also, they have begun to shrivel up. I water the tree 1-2/week since the soil is very sandy. The same thing happened last year. The tree apppears very healthy in all other ways. Any suggestions?

Hi Jim,

I found this info at this link.

Quote: Figs require copious amounts of water through the growing season and depending on your your pot size and growing medium will require watering daily. If the tree becomes dry at the roots then it is likely that the developing embryo figs will drop off.
