What's the trick? I tried a hand spreader and a Scotts SpeedyGreen3000 broadcast spreader. The stuff is too sticky - it won't flow out of the spreader, but instead just forms up around the agitator.

I ended up spreading it by hand - no fun in near-100 degree weather!

TIA,
Dave

I usually pour it out on the driveway and let it dry out in the sun before I load it into the spreader. Kent

That's the bum part of where these are often stored in the big box stores- out in the garden center where everything gets wet when the big sloppy watering kicks in.

When I buy it from the feed stores, it's usually quite dry already. Or of I get it from the box stores, I often hand-mix it in the spreader with a dry product like humate that equalizes it.
