I'm not sure what the name of this shrub is, the leaves are deep red in the spring and slowly fade to an orange- pale green and become stressed in the mid to late summer (even with generous watering). The dried leaves curl up and fall off the plant. I'm thinking this plant is not native and possiby needs cooler temperatures? The leaves each have 7 points and are 2-3 inches wide. Any help would be appreciated. -Thank you |

Hi Ziroth,
Looks like a japanese maple. It wants part shade to shade. It may be getting sun scald. Take a look here for care.
