I thought I'd use this forum to mention what great folks Tony (TonyM) and Mary Ann Manasseri are. After expressing interest in goats Mary Ann (Marlyn) invited me up to their place north of McKinney.

What a learning experience it was. We talked about goats, chickens, pests, organic gardening, ponds and sustainable homes. To top it all off I was treated to a fresh cold glass of goats milk, Yum! If you have any inklings about raising or keeping goats and/or chickens give them a call.

Thanks Tony and Mary Ann, I look forward to seeing you in Fredericksburg in a little under a month.

Stuart

OK, I'm jealous :D Honestly, that is exactly how I got hooked on goat's milk, oh so many years ago. It was in the Livestock Barn at the State Fair. A young little teenaged girl, proudly offered a glass from her goat. I was hooked. Later we met some people, in what was Rose Hill, who kept dairy goats and bees.

I think that would be an excellent move!
