With your new vegetables sprouting, be aware that in the late Summer heat, it will take consistent watering to keep them from getting too dry or hot. I use window screen to make a shade over late summer seedlings. BTW, if you have a feed and seed near you, that's a good place for buying your veggie seeds at a great price. I bought spinach a couple of weeks ago, and beet seeds yesterday.
On the question of your vine. What size and color were the chinese lantern-type seed pods? Are the vines you have sprouted clinging to things, or are they more like tall skinny sticks with leaves along the length of the plant? Do you have a photo of these plants? If so, email me one. On the other mystery vine, I can't get a good take on color due to the red background, but I'm checking a couple of sources. |
