My wife and I just moved south of Bluff Dale, Erath County and want to plant some apple, peach, pear, plum, and apricot trees. Our soil is mostly calichie. The fruit will be for home consumption. We do not know what types of fruit grow in this area. Also, we are transplanted city folk, if that means anything. Any suggestions will be appreciated. :D

I have the same soil and it was recommended to me by dragonfly to try Ranger peaches. Santa Rosa and Methley plums.
