| This morning Howard mentioned a new variety of Oak Tree that was very much like the Shumard Red Oak, but with smaller leaves. Can you help with the name of the new variety? |

| It's canby oak - Quercus canbyi. It is a red oak that is similar to the Chisos oak. There is a little more information in Texas Trees. |
