I need some advice on a good hardy rose bush that will grow really thick on a chain link fence to block the view. I prefer the small tiny antique rose that come out in clusters in the spring and fall and also this will be covering appx 400 feet of fencing.

Thanks

Have you checked out "Climbing Pinkie?" http://www.vintagerosery.com/roses/climbingpinkie.htm It's an Earth Kind rose as well, so it's very hardy.

That looks like a good one although I would prefer that one does have more thorns on it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Anyone with any more good ideas?

Thanks, Rick

Cecile Brunner and Climbing Cecile Brunner both have clusters of small pink flowers that sound like what you're describing. I would also recommend Mutabilis, which is a China rose. I've had two Mutabilis bushes at two different houses, and each has rapidly grown to 5 X 5 and in bloom from March until November. You can find all of these at the Antique Rose Emporium, which I also recommend!

I ordered over 800.00 worth of roses from them and they are being delivered on Thursday and should have them planted on Friday. Thanks for the good website.
