Was wondering if you would get the same results if you used shredded paper in a compost tumbler rather than the dried leaves & etc :?: I have access to paper rather than leaves & wondered if this would make any measurable difference in the end result :?:
Thanks, Linda in Ponder

All browns are essential in composting for supplying carbons for microbes and developing humus, whether the browns are paper products, leaves, straw, unrtreated sawdust, or 100% cotton rags!

Microbes and earthworms don't care! Always mix browns with greens in order to speed up decomposition, and to produce a healthy supply of compost for the soil organisms to use to build and condition the soil.
