My lawn loves corn meal, but so do the roaches, I've found. :-( Anybody know of where I can get some new (no chemical residue) 5 gal containers with air-tight lids?

Home Depot sells them. You may also find them at a paint supply store.

If you have access to bois d'arc trees, collect the 'horse apples/hedge balls' whatever they're called in this area, & place them around where you store the corn meal. This has helped our garage immensely! They repel roaches, supposedly.

I store mine in 18-gallon Rubbermaid containers. I don't know if that meets your criteria for no residue. The lids aren't air tight but I don't have roach problems.
