I shop North Haven Gardens (just west of US75, near Royal) for the powdered stuff and hope Redenta's will start carrying it again soon... you may want to call them as they have a store in Colleyville on Colleyville Blvd.

I'm sorry... forgot the name, but they have only one brand, in meal (powdered) or granulated form. Look for the white tag on the bag for the kind it is.

It's outside in a covered area to the right, as you enter into the greenhouse area. 19.95 for 40 lbs.

It's on NorthHaven Road, south of Forest (north of Royal) ...turn right off of the US75 southbound service road and go west about 1/2 mile.

Where do you work in Garland? Have you checked with Rohde's? They are off of Garland Road, just north of LBJ on Leon Road across from the old Hypermart and Discount Tire.

Since theweedmaster lives in Euless, try Green Mama's on Davis.

A good source in Garland is Roach Feed 7 Seed, on Main. I bought 50 lbs of dried molasses for 13.95, and 30 lbs of corn meal for about 6 bucks, if I remember correctly. They may have missed charged me because the reciept if for something I didn't buy. But they have vinegar and a lot of other organic stuff as well.

I second your recommendation for Roach Feed & Seed. We are lucky in Garland having two good organic sources. Three if you count Lowe's. Heck, Home Depot has Lava Sand, cedar mulch, etc. Are there others?

Shop Garland for your organic needs!

For anyone interested in price and location, I just purchased the following for my lawn.

Wells Bros. Farm Store
5001 Avenue K
Pano, TX 75074
(972)424-8516

40# Combination Soil Amendment (Corn Meal, Molasses, Wheat Bran) - $15.99

40# Wells Brothers Custom Organic Mix (Compost, Green Sand, Lava Sand) - $5.99

Antidote 3 N 1 8000sf (Beneficial Nematodes) - $18.49

They had what I would consider a very large selection of organics
In that same area are places that sell large selections of mulch and soil by cubic yard as well as stone. It's my one stop shopping area :D

Mr. Clean, you mention that Lowe's in Garland carries organic supplies. Is that the Lowe's on Northeast Parkway?

kathiec,

That is correct. The are located on either side of the double doors in the store when you enter from the garden center.

Since you are in Rowlett, you might also check with Rohde's in Garland. He is just off of Garland Road across from the old Hypermart. He will have a much larger selection and can offer help and advice.

Just an update:

Lowes carries CGM now, and anyone in the the area around Allen and Plano near 75, on Greenville there's a feed store- Wells Brothers- and they carry all sorts of goodies, including CGM and other natural needfuls. I get most of my stuff there (Dry Humate, Dry Molasses, Zeolite, etc)

 I just spoke with the Lowe's here in NW Fort Worth and they wanted 19.99 for a 20# bag!!! That seems awfully expensive when I can go to Green Mama's off Davis Blvd. and get 40# bags for 16.95. Maybe I am crazy but I'd rather support a smaller store for a less expensive price.

I think it's a matter of whether you have a smaller store near you.

I do most of my buying at Wells Brothers (small store) but occasionally I have to get stuff at Lowes simply because they get it cheaper in bulk, such as lava sand. $3.50 for 40# at Lowes, $7 at Wells Bros. Same for Green Sand.
