i am inquiring about a volunteer plant in my burmuda "lawn". this plant has the same structure as thyme. maybe two inches tall readily spreads in burmuda, crowding it out. full sun. no human watering. so far it is perenial. has sm insignificant yellow flowers in late summer. when the foliage is crushed - no scent at all. what do i have? i am very interested in this plant because it could be a nice ground cover for me in certain places. any thing that crowds out burmuda is extremely interesting to me.
does this plant sound like anything, anybody has?
thanks;

| Is it possible for you to post a picture? It would make it easier to ID. |

Could it be Frogfruit? Check it out on the internet or go to the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station in Plano. Benny Simpson planted a native design at the entrance that has frogfruit.

bj,
Here is one one to post pictures to your post:
To post an image first it has to be stored with an online host such as photobucket.com as mine are. On this forum's post a reply or new post page click Img then type in the address of your pic then hit Img again. That's it.
Hope this helps. It is real easy to do. |
