I need some equipment to maintain a soccer field (2 acres). We need a tractor and some way of spreading compost tea. I really like the idea of trying to brew a 40 gallon batch of compost tea in a 55 gallon drum using the pattern of David Hall and Bruce Deule. However, we need to get it on the field! We probably only have a couple of thousand dollars for the mower and spreader. Is that possible? Any recommendations?

Thanks~

Rent! And build the tea machine. Should save you a bunch of money.

If we are going to use this monthly for awhile, renting does not make sense. There has to be a relatively low cost way of getting tea on 2 acres.

You could use a riding lawn mower and purchase a spray rig at Tractor Supply. They have a rig which will pull nicely behind a riding lawn mower with an electric pump.

That sounds interesting--there is a Tractor Supply about 25 min away. How much do they cost.
