Birding Festivals are typically one to four day events centered around birding and nature. They are great fun for anyone interested in birds.
A brand new festival, the first in North Texas, is the Red River Birding Festival, April 21 - 24. It will be headquartered at Hagerman Wildlife Refuge on Lake Texoma, about an hours drive north of Dallas.
Birding Festivals and birding in general has become a major economic force in the Texas Valley.
