I have a lot of fire ants in my compost bin that sits on the ground. I know that they can help decompose the stuff, but I don't want to spread them around my garden. Should I just use the organic fire ant mound drench? Any other tips?
Thanks. |

| Add moisture to the pile and/or turn more frequently. |

| I had the same problem with my compost last summer. I added dry molasses and watered the pile. In a couple of days the ants moved on and I was able to turn the pile with out getting bite. |
