We purchased a home which is on a septic system and has an existing whole house softener that was utalizing sodium chloride. We have switched to potassium chloride on the whim that it would most likley be better for us and the land. Does any one have any experience with the sodium vs potassium in a water softener system? Thanks in advance for your input.
