| is there anyone out there that could tell me if martins or bats will eat or in anyway hurt my honey bees? thanks plumber |

| THey won't appreciably hurt your bee numbers, or at least I've never seen that or read it anywhere. Remember, bees have a fairly short life span, and there are thousands and thousands of bees in a hive. I've never seen the local martins using my bees for food. In fact, orb spiders probably kill more of my bees than other predators. |

| I would think that bees are not on the menu of either bats or martins. Most of their diet seems to come from high-flying insects such as moths. Bees tend to fly close to the ground looking for pollen. |
