A mouse (smells like a mouse) has died somewhere in my car. Just can't find it. Do you know anything to kill the odor? I am thinking I may have to take it to a shop and have the seats taken out.

I bet it's in the vents somewhere, poor you!! It will take a week or so & then it'll be gone. I have one better-husband threw rat poison in the attic (should I say "I told you so" NOW?) & of course one or more died where we can't find 'em. Have not had the furnace on or the windows shut since we started smelling it 10 days ago! Fortunately for me I caught a horrible cold & cannot smell.

lindak, Sorry to hear about this. IMO you need to find the remains and remove them. I would look first in the trunk area, under the seats (front and rear) and in the engine bay. Hopefully it did not find its way into the vents. After removal, find a detailer in your area (can't tell where you are) that has access to an ozone machine and you should be back to "new" again.

In the meantime, you might try an open container of Odor-Ban (from Sam's) in the car when it's not in use. This may not be organic, but it does stop odors.

pakin, What is Odor-Ban? Does it "kill" or "mask" odors? Is it a disenfectant? Is it a liquid or a solid? Is it "toxic"?

TIA
