Can anyone help with the decision of adding a water softener to hard well water. We are moving to Granbury and have a well that is testing hard at 12 grains per million.

We are troubled with adding a water softener and are troubled with hard water. If you have had this problem and dealt with it, please let me know the decision you made and why.

Thank you so much for any help.

Years ago I worked for a water softening co in the
summer to help get through college. For any one
that has not experience hard water, this is a major
problem. I think if I had this problem I would use
the softener and then filter the water before we
drank it. We have a filter that filters, is ionic and
uses UV light.
The two concerns: resins and salt
Good Luck!
