Morning! Notice that I did not preface that w/ 'Good'. I need to know if anyone can give me the SPECIFIC wording to use when pesticide/herbicide sprayers are determined to spray when the wind is greater than 5 mph. I have, this morning, had a (relatively) amicable discourse w/ an herbicide sprayer, who claimed that by spraying Roundup "close to the ground", it would NOT drift & contaminate my yard. He claimed that he was certified (of course, anyone can say that), and yet was unaware of the spraying restriction. He was surprised, also, to learn that spraying of organic materials is also forbidden. I did get his vehicle's licence plate (said vehicle displayed NO name of company) & description of vehicle, also the time & wind speed reported @ that time.I did notice that I never smelled any of the Roundup. Any help appreciated, especially whom I should contact about this. Thanks!

About three weeks ago, I went over and talked to a guy in the pesticide application business. He was gathering the equipment from his truck at a house across the street from me. I asked him if he would be treating the outside of the house. He said yes. I asked him if he had an anemometer. He said that he did not. I asked him, "Is it not against the law to spray when the wind is above 5 mph?" He said the law allows spraying under 8 mph winds and that it was no where near that. :o Maybe not at that instant, but winds were increasing and gusty.

I went home and checked weatherchannel.com (I'm not sure how accurate that is due to variables in proximity). It stated the winds were about 10 to 15 mph. I had noticed a BBB sticker on the guy's truck so I proceeded to contact them. I do not know what will happen, if anything...

I know your frustration. :(
