| ...is it that my (organic for four years) Bermuda grass is seemingly so much more susceptible to fungus than my non-organic neighbors? Virtually EVERY time there is a good, hard, rain (last week I received ~2in. during a storm) I have to spread a 50lb. bag of horticultural cornmeal (@ 10-20lb/1000sg. ft.) on huge patches of blue-green fungus that appear. I go through about 200 lb. of cornmeal per year. Seems excessive. Comments appreciated! |

If you fertilized every 60 days from April through October, how much corn meal would you use? That's how often bermuda likes it.
You might try spraying half your yard with milk right after a rain and see if that stops the fungus. Put 3 ounces of milk per gallon of water to cover 1,000 square feet. It can be any kind of milk from spoiled to chocolate to powdered to skim. |
