Well, I signed in today to find what I already knew...my membership is in its final 10 days.

Like others before me, I have evaluated the ROI. Try as I might, I can't get the membership benefits tw warrant the cost of admission. Basically in my instance, I would be paying to post on this forum.

This won't be a final good-bye as I hope to visit with some of you at a future organic show, or on another gardening forum, or maybe see you in a nursery some time. Hopefully, I can get a few e-mail addresses from those of you who I have shared PMs and we can stay in touch.

Anyway...in the words of many a comic....Thank you folks, I'll be here all week

Thanks for your contributions and for not always "grazing with the flock".

Does the 10% discount on organic products not cover the cost of being on the ground crew? To me, the forum is just a bonus.

Thank you Tony, I was very happy to meet you at the show this year. I hope to repeat that in '06. I do hope to make it out to your "little bit of Heaven" one day and see your operation. I'm certain there is much to be learned from your methods.

Pakin, I actually answered that question in Kbrew's farewell post. I don't know that I have spent $250 on "qualified products" (check the disclaimer on the coupon) in the all of the years I've been a member, but certainly not in 1 year or even 2. I'm a suburban dweller. Maybe if I owned some acreage.

Mr. Clean,

I know where you are coming from and sometimes feel as you do. But then again I have to step back and consider that my membership dues of .50 cents a week is going to research, keeping the message out there reaching those who want and need the information to make a difference. Perhaps it's just the feeling of lending support even though there may not be much personal benifit other than making and meeting new friends of simular beliefs.

Sometimes it's like do I really need radio, TV, newspapers?....Yes, just to keep growing in knowledge and awareness.

Drop by and visit anytime my friend.
