:?: Where can I get a small male possomhaw holly, or can anyone provide me intructions and berries on how to grow one? My 2 female hollies stopped putting on berries last year. I live in Cedar Hill, TX, and there are some native plants here. I am guessing that the native males were bulldozed by developers. Any ideas?

I clicked on "Dirt Doctor" and went to the Organic resources and then typed in "Cedar Hill"
Redenta's Garden Cedar Hill
813 Straus Rd.
Cedar Hill, TX 75104
www.redentas.com
If you call them, they can help and they'll probably have the plant you're looking for. |

| The Dallas Nature Center (now the Cedar Ridge Preserve) used to sell possumhaw trees. I'm not sure if this is still the case, but you might check them out since you are so near. |

Hurry up, Redenta's in Cedar Hill is for sale. Green Mama's is the next closest to you that I would try.

Thanks for the info. I tried Redenta's, and they put me on their list (its been a month). And you are right, they are looking for a buyer.
Does anyone know if Westin Garden in Forest Hill (or Ft. Worth) might have one?

Are you still looking for a Possumhaw? My wife and I bought one from Covington's Nursery and brought it home last week. It was their last one, but we have one in the ground that we want to dig out and replace it with the one we bought. The one in the ground was purchased two years ago from a nursery that was going out of business in North Dallas. It is small and oddly shaped, right now. Sort of the "Runt" of the close-out sale. If you would like to consider it, we live in Plano. My cell phone is 214-883-2101.
