| I have a tropical hibiscus that is planted in full sun in a pot. It forms buds, but they drop off before they open into bloom. I have checked for bugs, but don't see anything. We have used molasses to fertilize. This is our first year at organic gardening, so I don't want to spray with insecticides. Any suggestions would be welcome. |

How much do you water them? The two I have are heavy drinkers.
I've found molasses to be a great additive, but don't know if I'd use only that. Maybe try adding some organic fertilizer as well? |

| In my experience, hibiscus need copious amounts of water when grown in pots. I almost lost my Texas star hibiscus (a hardy variety) by not watering enough. It has been growing like a weed even with drier conditions now that it is planted out. I would water deeply daily if you keep any hibiscus in a pot. |
