I moved into this house and am trying to learn what all of this stuff is that is planted here.

I have this "thing" planted next to my front door. I do not know what it is, how to trim it, or anything else that may be useful. Please have a look at the pictures below. I have linked to them rather than embedding them due to the size.

This is my first time posting, so I hope it goes okay.

It looks like an Easter Red Cedar, or juniper to me.

I do not think it is a plant that is typically pruned. Do you want to prune it because it is too close to the door? If there is no other option besides removing it, you could give it a try.
