| I do not have access to a pickup but need about 6-8 cubic yards. Big Bird Tree Service quoted me $22/yard + $50 delivery. This is the best I've found but of course would like to do better! |

Have you seen their mulch? It sounds like a company that's cutting it up at the front end and selling out of the back of the truck. Normally they would have to pay to haul it to the dump.
Normal tree trimmings, the kind that get chipped/shredded at the sidewalk, makes an excellent mulch - unless you are set on cedar. |

If Big Bird isn't actually cedar mulch, but hardwood trimmings, you can get the same for free from Advance Tree Care in Fairview. They are arborists and have delivered several truckloads to me, but you usually have to wait a few days to get it.
If you want cedar mulch - that's what I use exclusively on landscapes now - you should check with Living Earth Technology in Plano for bulk, or Hogan Nursery in Plano for 3 cu ft. bags.
Good luck! |

| If you can find a way to haul it, Soil Building System has GREAT cedar mulch. You can tell that it is really cedar because it has a strong cedar smell. People I know just rent a truck for a day and haul it themselves, so they can avoid the delivery charge. |
