I am looking for a list of farmer markets in the Dallas & Fort Worth area.
My family will be growing a production garden this spring to put money back for our childrens collage, and to enjoy our self as well. We have had small gardens in the past, 40'x70' but will enlarge to 1 acre or more for the spring. My grandfather use to sell melons and other veggies from his garden to small food store and from a trailer on the side of the road. He did this till he was 89, he past away the year after the Dr. told him the garden was just to much for him to run and he should stop. I always thought it was the love of gardening and the time he got to spend selling his wares that kept him going. I guess it is in my blood anyway. I will be planting mostly heirloom types with some hybrids mixed in. Any advice would be welcomed and contacts for farmer markets in the DFW area can be emailed to odissullivan@aol.com or posted here,

thank you

Are you familar with localharvest.com? You might be able to get a dialog going there. Also, do a search on this site for Monica Brown, she has an organic produce co-op and tries to buy locally.
