| Today, I noticed in two separate locations, several large, well-established live oaks covered in aphids and honeydew. The honeyew can be spotted from a good distance, and in both locations it was a complete infestation. I have never seen this before. Is this common because of warm winter we have experienced? What should be done to treat them? |

Anytime I find a critter on my trees I don't want (which admitedly hasn't happened in forever because of regular foliar sprayings of food and such) it goes away after an application of Garlic Pepper tea.
In warmer weather, when there's no chance of them freezing out, releasing ladybugs is a major help too. Used o do that on my apple trees when they were new nad slightly stessed in the spring. |
