My favorite for this is a mix of herbs - mostly mullein, eyebright, & nettle plus a few others for sinus health & breathing. There's a great combination capsule product called Aller-Leaf (I think it's a product of the Gaia company) that I keep on hand. I even got my mom off the stinking prescription allergy meds with it.
Like Howard says, lots of herb tea and lots of water works. Snorting salt water or using one of the salt water nasal mist products helps wash the pollen & other irritants out of the sinuses & nose to stop the reaction and soothe the tissues.
Bear in mind, before I left traditional medicine out of my life, my doctor had me taking 5 prescription meds EVERY DAY. It only took me a couple of months of that to say "this has got to STOP". Now I only take my daily vitamins, eat right and use these natural and herbal aids.
Let's get Sattie in on this one! She can help out, I bet. :D
