Last year through the spring Fall & summer I purchased a variety of various Honeysuckle plants & really didn't expect much in the way of blooms untill this year after they had all had a few months to get established. Most are doing well, however I do have a couple that are looking poorley and their leaves are curling up althouth they are still somewhat supple & green.
A couple of things come to mind
Too much water, not enough water, too much mulch on top, planted too deep and wondering if the root ball may be so tight that no water is getting in and it is slowly dying. These were 2 or 3 gallon plants. Any ideas on what to do would be greatly appreciated. If I'm gonna need to dig it up and start over I'd rather do it sooner than later.

how much water is it getting? It's impossible for us to guess over or under watering without more details. How much sun does it get? Does a sprinkler head hit it directly when it gets watered?

so the soil was still wet from rains we had that long ago? Sounds like a drainage problem. I think they're staying too wet and they're rotting.

I misread. so you've watered them since the rains. Personally, if the plant is already well established, I wouldn't water that often.

The lady at the garden center where I got them suggested the possibility of thrips & then I began to notice a black fingus or mould on some of my vines
the solution I guess is DE & beneficial nemitodes. The problem with DE is that it is non selective

Get some Garrett juice or Seaweed & Fish emulsion, mix it up and spray all over the leaves. It will kills any fungal problem you have and foliar feed the plant as well.
