I have a 2 tomato plants in my vegetable garden that are dying. The leaves are curling up and they're turning yellow. They also have white specks on the leaves that look like white flies. The stems seem to be disfigured. I'm including pictures. I'm totally organic and have sprayed with Garret juice and citrus oil. Can anyone tell me what's wrong. I have about 8 other tomato plants but I'm afraid the disease will spread.

I couldn't figure out how to insert the pics. |

It could be lots of things going on with tomatoes.
What I do is start out with good disease resistance transplants before I get started.
Also I try to use at least 50% or more mature homemade compost in my beds under the tomato transplants when I plant them.
I use a dry mulch like straw around my plants to discouage diseases too.
Also I try to never touch the foliage with any of my compost tea recipes! I only use my aerobic compost tea recipes as soil drenches around the young plants to reduce any fungal diseases.
If I notice any potential foliage problems, I spray a very dilute seaweed, or sulfur, or powdered milk, or baking soda tea on the foliage.
I use dry molasses in my soil drench teas, and a little in the foliar fungicidal tea recipes.
Also keep your soil moist, but not too wet around the young plants.
Hope this helps.
Happy Gardening! |

| There is nothing wrong with spraying compost teas and Garrett Juice, quite the contrary - especially if cornmeal juice is added for disease control. Too much orange oil in the mix could cause the leaf damage. |
