Birds often nest on farm equipment or other inconvienent locations. Many soft-hearted people do not want to disturb the birds but want to know long until the baby birds leave the nest.

While it varies by species, here are a couple of guidelines for typical backyard songbirds.

Eggs take about 2 weeks to hatch after incubation commences.

After they hatch, baby birds take around 2 more weeks to grow to the point they leave the nest (fledge).
