| Use the same organic amendments we use for clay soils. Lava sand is very important. If calcium availability is low, which it probably is, add high calcium lime. |

Don't forget to use plenty of homemade mature compost and natural mulches, all over your garden beds too.
Homemade compost is THE best thing for building all soil types.
