| Normal (?) ants may be beneficial but I have an infestation on the back of my property. I've used DE, cinnamon, black pepper. etc. You name it, I've used it. Nothing seems to work. The usual cluster of boys here using the (free) batting cage are not around because the ants are everywhere. They may not bite, but who wants them all over the equipment and yourself. Please send me your recommendations before I go crazy and buy any chemicals. (Actually I want, but my wife will.) |

I too have been seeing more ants this season. I got busy and wasn't paying close attention and before I knew it, had four mounds in the lawn. I've been using this stuff

with pretty good success, but it's been taking a bit longer than usual to wipe them out. Maybe the ants like this dryness.... ? |

| Thanks for the site. My North neighbor (same age as Moses, but a great guy) has used every chemical product know to Man (or beast) and is ready to dynamite his property. Our acreage has been nearly fire ant free since last year (because of molasses), but these pesty little ants have multiplied weekly. Hope your recommendation works. |

I was just browsing around at AGO and noticed there are more products based on this Spinosad ingredient:
http://www.agorganics.com/products/Spinosad-Lawn--Garden-Spray--16oz-Conc--Green-Light/12/220.html
http://www.agorganics.com/products/Spinosad-Lawn--Garden-Spray-Hose-End/12/284.html
You might contact them and see what they advise. That end of hose sprayer might be worthwhile to seriously treat a big area, then followup with the granule stuff, maybe? Dunno. I'd ask and see what they say.... |

It makes a difference what type ants you have. Fire ants hate molasses but ordinary ants will love it-right?
