We have been totally organic for 4 years. We follow all the Dirt Doctor recommendations. I have 2 hydrangeas that have very yellow leaves with green veins. I've fertilized with Garret Juice, and manure. I've put liquid humate on the plants and they're a little bit better, but they're still yellow green. Does anyone have any idea what is keeping these bushes from absorbing the nutrients? We live in East Texas and have sandy soil.
Thanks,

Did you improve the soil by adding organic matter? Sounds like your fertilizing correclty but maybe the soil is too weak to sustain it?

I'm not sure what you mean. The hydrangeas have been there for 3 years and I assume all the amendments we have been putting on the grass and in the flower beds would be breaking down into the soil. We have a huge yard, and we didn't till in a lot of stuff initially. We just fertilized with an organic fertilizer and used lava sand ect. The other flower beds are fine, it's just the one in the back I'm having a problem with. If lack of soil amendment is the problem, how would I remedy it?
