Hi there. So do any of you also keep guinea fowl to help with bug control? To make a short story long, I had a flock of 8 adopt me in March 2005. Lost some to predators, hatched some eggs and now have 15 grasshopper-eating guineas. (If you don't want the abbreviated version, just ask...whew!)

They take some training and maintenance, but I love having them around. They are the perfect compliment to organic gardening. Because of these goofs, I'm completely organic around here. I'm learning so much from this site, and it goes hand-in-hand with raising guineas. There are also some wonderful herbal ways to treat the guineas - from worm control to swollen joints...the list goes on.

I'd enjoy hearing your stories.
