| I have it growing wild out in my pasture. You harvest it when the stalks look like you are used to seeing it in the store, not really thick, but thick enough to cut and cook/eat. Usually in the summer, after they've been growing all winter and spring, you should find some shoots to cut. They say not to harvest all of it the first few years. I guess someone spilled seeds out here so I couldn't harvest or even find all of it in one year - it just grows wild now. Check out Howard's Veggie book for lots of good details. |
