I have read a bunch of y'alls suggestions for green cleaning & learned a
LOT of things.
My question is:Will Boraxo & hot water help get rid of distemper virus?
We have 50 or so feral cats (young & old) that have been spreading the
virus. We managed to vaccinate some of the tame kittens, but 50% of them
are untouchable & trap-wise. Not to mention the expense.
I appreciate any suggestions! |

Grapefruit seed extract kills virus, but that could get a bit costly on a large scale project. You might wish to get some 35% hydrogen peroxide and dilute it. I don't know the dilution rates off hand, but be VERY carful as hydrogen peroxide at this strength will burn you. Even diluted to 10% could cause problems on skin of vapors in eyes and lungs. Take precautions!

Thanks so much for your suggestion. I started with borax water applied with a sprayer. Not so great for disinfecting but great for the smell!
I'll try the peroxide.
Thanks again,
