| If I don't cut my Turk's Cap back to the ground, will they come out from the stems next spring? Will they be bushier if left standing? DFW area. |

| Yes, the plant will probably get larger but usually cut mine back each year to keep them more compact. |

The Turk's caps I've seen in the wild are leggy and sparse. Those in my garden will be 4 years old this spring, and they look like wild plants. I've seen cultivated plants that are thick and bushy. That's the appearance I'd like to have. I've always cut them back after the first hard freeze. This year I'll leave them standing.
