Rather than rake so many bags of leaves this year and have them hauled to the landfill, my new mower has a mulching blade I used this summer on the lawn and love it. I'm wondering if it's ok to run the mower over the yard and mulch the tree leaves back on to the lawn as well. I've heard in the past about thatch build-up so don't want that. Is this an approved method? A compost pile at this time is not an option.

Sarge-

That's what we always do-mow 'em all. Sometimes my DH goes over the yard twice, can't see any of the mulched leaves.

Thank you. Just wanted to be sure it wouldn't hurt the lawn. I did it and worked great!
