I want to know an organic way of controling whatever pest is causing my hens to loose feathers on their wings and back.

The organic way would be to put your rooster in a cage. Let me know if youn don't have a rooster.

Down at my farm I have roosters and hens, too - and yes, I admit at first I was shocked at their, ah, let's say, enthusiasm. :shock: If you can cull out some roosters or add hens, to say spread around the love a bit more, your hens will look better and the roosters will appreciate the extras in the harem.

I currently have more roosters than I should, but can't bear to part with any so I just keep allowing the hens to nest and increase the number of hens from hatching.
